FAQs

What is the turnaround time for affidavits of service?
Once service is completed (or not completed), we send affidavits of service (or non-
service) to our clients as soon as possible. Those who are set up with our Web
Package service have the ability to view copies of these returns online once their
jobs are closed out. If a copy of a return of service is requested prior to mailing, we
can e-mail this.

How can I get documents to you for service?
You can either e-mail, mail/USPS, FedEx, UPS, or physically bring the documents in to
our office.

I need to get this person/business served, no matter what. What if service is not
completed with the address and information I provide?
Please refer to our infographics that detail the step-by-step process we follow when
given addresses are not successful: What if we can’t get a paper served?

How will I know when service is completed?
If your law firm or company is set up with our Web Package service, you are able to
log in with your credentials to view the statuses on any open jobs you have. Once a
job is closed out, as long as you’ve provided us with an e-mail address, you will
receive an e-mail notification with a copy of the affidavit and invoice.

Do I need to prepay for services? Or can you invoice me?
Prepayment is required. However, credit can be established on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact the manager (manager@proprocessservers.com) for further
information.

What is the difference between RUSH and regular services?
Timing. With SAME-DAY RUSH services, the document is first attempted to be served
within 24 hours of us receiving the documents. With RUSH service, the document is
first attempted to be served within 24 hours of us receiving the documents, not
counting the date of receipt. With regular service, the document is first attempted to
be served within 72 hours of us receiving the documents, not counting the date of
receipt.

If I have a paper going to multiple addresses, how will I be billed?
Please note, we do unlimited attempts per address until we are provided further
information or until we have exhausted all efforts and are directed by our clients to
stop attempting. You will be billed full price per address.

Do I have to pay extra for notary?
No. We notarize documents when necessary at no cost.

Do I need an original document for service? Or would a copy suffice?
A copy is fine. However, if this document is a summons, the copy must have already
been issued by the court. In the state of Florida, e-filing is required for all
summonses.

Can you serve documents on Sundays?
Per Florida Statutes, no, we cannot serve documents on Sundays.

Can you serve documents on holidays?
Providing the holiday does not fall on a Sunday, yes, we can serve documents on
holidays.
